UET20321 Certificate II in ESI Powerline Vegetation Control & WA CoP Authorised Persons Training

Monday 18th – Friday 22nd June 2026 (Safety Observer or EWP streams available)

  • Duration: 5-day block

  • Location: Theory: Monday–Thursday – Forrestdale
    Practical: Friday – Local site (TBC)

  • Requirements: Participants will receive a logbook and must complete 150 hours of supervised work around powerlines, as per Western Power requirements.

Important: Due to safety considerations, this intake is capped at 12 participants.

  • Confirmation of whether the participant holds a Chainsaw ticket
    (Statement of Attainment or USI transcript to be provided if applicable)

  • Selection of stream (Safety Observer or EWP)

AHC30824 Certificate III in Arboriculture

Monday 11th – Wednesday 13th May 2026

Includes:

  • WHS Induction

  • FWPCOT2254 Maintain Chainsaws

  • FWPCOT2273 Trim and Cut Felled Trees

    Following Training Days:

  • Tuesday 7th June: FWPHAR2208 Operate a mobile chipper/mulcher

  • Wednesday 8th June: FWPCOT3301 Trim trees using a pole saw

    ​Available Streams:

  • Climbing

  • EWP

  • Dual Climbing/EWP

  • Works Coordinator

    Duration: 18–24 months, with off‑the‑job training scheduled for 1–3 days every 6–8 weeks.

    Funding: This qualification is funded as a WA Apprenticeship, which may significantly reduce overall costs.
    Additional employer incentives may apply, as Arborists remain on the national skills shortage list.

Diploma in Arboriculture AHC50524

Online

Currently taking expressions of interest for the next intake.  This course will be delivered online via Microsoft Teams, where participants from across Australia attend a ½ day training session on a monthly basis.

To commence in the Diploma of Arboriculture (AHC50524), participants must have gained competency in the following units, or their equivalent:

  • Implement a tree maintenance program (AHCARB314)

  • Perform pruning operations (AHCARB316)

  • Identify trees (AHCARB323)

The Diploma of Arboriculture (AHC50524) is usually completed within 18 months.
