Some features of the 2428 -
1. Schaffer exclusive differential front and rear for torque and longevity, THIS is a really big difference to the tiny machines sold into the tree industry which use much, much cheaper wheel motors with no gearing. All loaders bigger than 2428 have a drive shaft for even better torque.
2. Oscillating articulation joint - allows faster loading work, keeps your wheels always on the ground for traction and a comfortable ride (acts as suspension for the operator). Allows an operator with a bucket of dirt for example can work must faster over rough terrain as the machine isn't constantly pitching and throwing.
3. Solid plate mast with the biggest pins and bushes - 15-25mm plate steel, guaranteed to last!
4. Bosch-Rexroth industrial hydraulics - City of Canning clocked up over 11,500 hours on their first Schaffer before selling it and now only own Schaffers as it had the lowest downtime and operating costs in their fleet.
5. Easy to drive with operator sitting at the rear, reversing is the same as driving a car. Forward/reverse built into the joystick.
6. Hydraulic Quick Hitch – Universal bobcat hitch making finding implements easy!

Intimidator™ Towable Drum Style Hand-Fed Chipper
The 12XC will process tree trimmings, limbs, and brush quickly and efficiently. The 15 ¾” diameter single top feed wheel will pull in and compress stubborn branches, guiding them to the drum. Adjustable side mounted down pressure springs allow for a range of down pressure settings and hydraulic lift and crush is available to enhance down pressure capabilities reducing the need to trim or re-position material leading to greater productivity.
A durable 20” diameter x 13 ¼” wide two-knife drum is standard with the fabricated components backed by a 5-year “GUTS” warranty. To assist with enhanced chipping throwing power, a slot called the “Power Slot” is located on the front side of the drum housing allowing for increased air flow or in the event of machine plugging significantly simplifying the unplugging process.

The Takeuchi TL12V2 is a heavy duty factory reinforced machine ready for the toughest vegetation control work. With heavy duty 6mm belly plates, strong fixed roller undercarriage with smooth ride technology and guarding pre-fitted ready to work. The Cab features a FOPS/ROPS level 2 top protection grid and a strong 10mm Lexan door. It is fully sealed and pressurized.
The huge factory included oil cooler handles the cooling while the improved guarding around the engine area reduces build up of material in the engine bay. High flow is delivered to the FAE UML/SSL/175-VT Bite Limiter mulcher, which is tuned to optimize the rotor speed. This top of the range FAE mulcher has a hydraulic door, useful for deflecting the product forwards or down. The mulcher features a bite limiter rotor, which manages the depth of cut, making it easier and more efficient to use. The variable torque motor automatically increases torque when needed or increases speed in lighter work. This package is assembled, tuned and ready for work.
