WALGA - Model Local Planning Policy Tree Retention

As of November 2025, a Local Planning Policy for Tree Retention has been adopted/progressed by the following Local Governments:

​

• Adopted by Bassendean, Cambridge, Fremantle, Nedlands, Victoria Park, South Perth, and Peppermint Grove.

​

• Bayswater have adopted the policy at their 26 August 2025 OCM. However, since the policy proposes variations to the Residential Design Codes, it will remain in draft until final approval by the Western Australian Planning Commission.

​

• Advertised by Claremont, Cockburn, Mosman Park and Northam.​​
