Certificate II in ESI Powerline Vegetation Control & WA CoP Authorised Persons Training
Monday 16 February - Friday 20 February 2026

Duration: 5-day block

Location: Theory (Mon–Thu) at Forrestdale; Practical (Fri) at a local site (TBC)

Requirements: Participants will receive a logbook and must complete 150 hours of supervised work around powerlines to qualify, as per Western Power requirements.
Important: Due to safety considerations, this intake is capped at 12 participants.

Whether employees hold a Chainsaw ticket (provide Statement of Attainment or USI transcript if applicable)

Which stream they wish to undertake (Safety Observer or EWP)

Funding may be available under a traineeship (subject to eligibility). Please confirm with your AASN regarding Cert II ESI funding.

Certificate III in Arboriculture AHC30824
Due to high demand, our January 2026 cohort for the Certificate III in Arboriculture has reached full capacity. We are pleased to announce that we are planning a second intake in March/April 2026, provided we have sufficient numbers to run another group so close together.

Duration: 18–24 months, with off-the-job training approximately 1–3 days every 6–8 weeks.

This qualification is funded as an Apprenticeship in WA, which may significantly reduce costs. Additional incentives may apply as Arborists are on the Skills Shortage list Australia-wide—please discuss with your AASN.

Diploma in Arboriculture AHC50524
Online
Currently taking expressions of interest for the next intake. This course will be delivered online via Microsoft Teams, where participants from across Australia attend a ½ day training session on a monthly basis.
To commence in the Diploma of Arboriculture (AHC50524), participants must have gained competency in the following units, or their equivalent:

Implement a tree maintenance program (AHCARB314)

Perform pruning operations (AHCARB316)

Identify trees (AHCARB323)
The Diploma of Arboriculture (AHC50524) is usually completed within 18 months.
