Certificate II in ESI UET20321/CoP Authorised Persons 

Monday 15th September - Friday 19th September 2025

Monday 6th through to Friday 10th October 2025

This intensive five-day program includes theory-based training sessions from Monday to Thursday at our Forrestdale office, followed by a practical session on Friday at a local site (location to be confirmed). Participants will receive a logbook at the conclusion of the program and must complete 150 hours of supervised work around powerlines to qualify for their certificate, as required by Western Power.

 

Attached, you will find the booking form outlining the units offered, available training streams, and associated costs. Please ensure all details are completed accurately, particularly regarding whether your employees hold a Chainsaw ticket (a statement of attainment or USI transcript is required if they do) and the selected training stream.

 

Funding opportunities for this qualification are available under a traineeship, subject to eligibility criteria. We encourage you to consult your Australian Apprenticeship Support Network (AASN)provider to determine eligibility for Cert II ESI funding I would highly recommend getting in touch with Sasha from MEGT 0404824641 to organize the sign up and meet and greet.

New Qualification - Certificate III in Arboriculture AHC30824 

We are excited to announce the launch of our next Certificate III in Arboriculture cohort, featuring the newly endorsed qualification AHC30824—designed to reflect the latest industry standards and deliver enhanced, job-ready skills for your team.

 

Training Locations:

  • Perth – Forestdale, WA 6112

  • Southwest Region – Busselton, WA 6280

     

Training Streams Available:

  • Climbing

  • Elevated Work Platform (EWP)

  • Works Coordinator

  • Dual EWP/Climbing Stream

     

Program Overview:

  • Duration: 18 to 24 months

  • Off-the-job training: 1 to 3 days every 6 to 8 weeks

     

Funding & Incentives: As a recognised Apprenticeship in Western Australia, this qualification is eligible for government funding through your AASN provider (e.g., MEGT). With Arborists listed on Australia’s National Skills Shortage list, employers may also be eligible for additional financial incentives.

Diploma in Arboriculture AHC50524

Online

Currently taking expressions of interest for the next intake.  This course will be delivered online via Microsoft Teams, where participants from across Australia attend a ½ day training session on a monthly basis.

To commence in the Diploma of Arboriculture (AHC50524), participants must have gained competency in the following units, or their equivalent:

  • Implement a tree maintenance program (AHCARB314)

  • Perform pruning operations (AHCARB316)

  • Identify trees (AHCARB323)

The Diploma of Arboriculture (AHC50524) is usually completed within 18 months.
