This is the event where WA’s best arborists come together to compete, connect, and celebrate the skills and people that keep our industry moving forward. Whether you’re a climber, an arborist, or simply love the outdoors — this is your chance to be part of something special.

We’re also proud to be joined once again by one of our long-standing Gold Corporate Partner, Vermeer Equipment of WA & NT.
Vermeer Equipment of WA & NT has been a cornerstone of the arboriculture equipment scene in WA for over three decades, supplying quality, reliable tree care machinery trusted by professionals across the state.
Their legacy stretches back to 1956, when Vermeer pioneered the first commercial stump cutter — a game-changer that launched nearly 70 years of innovation in arborist technology.
As Sam Hayes, Vermeer’s Tree Care Specialist (pictured right), puts it:
“Vermeer Equipment of WA & NT has been supplying quality Tree Care Equipment to the WA market for over 30 years. Supporting ArbWest as a Gold Sponsor gives us the chance to be around key industry leaders and educational seminars — it’s something we really value.”
This year, Vermeer will once again be exhibiting at the State Tree Climbing Championships — and they’re bringing some serious machinery with them.
Expect to see:
🔹 One of Vermeer’s high-performance Wood Chippers
🔹 Mini Skid Steers, complete with tree care attachments designed for real-world arborist work
Sam adds:
“We decided to exhibit at the Tree Climbing Competition because it’s a great opportunity to be among other members and businesses in the arboriculture industry, and to showcase some of our machinery in a hands-on setting.”
While Sam will be overseas visiting family in New Zealand during the event, he’s still available to answer questions before or after. If you’re looking for expert advice on equipment, attachments, or best practice — he’s only a call or email away.

On the day, you’ll be welcomed by Rachelle O’Connor, Vermeer’s Marketing & Communications Manager (pictured left).

She’s looking forward to reconnecting with the community after the success of last year’s ArbFest 2024.
So come along, enjoy the competition, meet the people, and check out the gear. The Tree Climbing Championships 2025 are shaping up to be a day to remember.
